Last Chance Audubon is pleased to announce that in December, we will holding our annual Christmas Bird Count (CBC) for all participants. For the past two CBC seasons, section leaders have been continuing to survey with limited participation – usually those within their Covid bubble. As we have moved from pandemic to endemic with Covid, LCAS would like to invite all members and friends to join us in conducting this year’s count. This year’s CBC will be held on Saturday December 17^th. We will be gathering at our familiar location, Family Roots Restaurant (Formerly Jorgenson’s Restaurant) at 7am to receive section assignments. Participants will depart before 8am and head to their sections. We will gather after the day’s survey at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at 5:30pm for a potluck and to share stories and adventures from the day. All are welcome to join in this family friendly event. There are half day and full day assignments, and section leaders are very accommodating to participant’s needs.
